About carbon steel A105 -
Carbon steel A 105 is also known as ASTM A105 that is the most common grade used for making piping and fastening components like ball valves. The alloy can be easily welded and heat treated. The alloy is also forged at a temperature between 1700 deg F followed by tempering and quenching methods. The carbon steel alloy has various outstanding features like high strength, durability, formability, corrosion resistance and pitting resistance.
Testing and packaging
Once all the manufacturing process is done, these carbon steel A105 instrumentation ball valves are well tested and inspected by the qualified professionals. The tests are done keeping in mind the requirements and industrial norms and rules. The tests include flaring test, flattening test, ultrasonic test, third-party inspection, radiography test, and hardness test. There are other tests also done like a destructive test, non-destructive test, visual inspection, pitting resistance test and positive material identification test.
For all these tests, manufacturers offer their customers and clients test certificates, certifying that the product is properly tested and it will not get the damage under different climatic conditions and pressure. The certificates include PMI test report, IGC test report, raw material test certificate and more.
