Duplex Steel S31803 Instrumentation Tube Fittings:
The duplex steel has a microstructure having a 50/50 austenitic and ferritic structure named UNS S31803 in a unified numbering system. It has higher mechanical strength and higher ductility. It has higher corrosion resistance in different cyclic environments ranging from moderate to higher concentric environments. These tube fittings can be operated in pitting and crevice corrosion environments. For a long time aging exposure can inflame weakening and embrittlement of corrosion resistance in the temperature up to 475 deg C. At the same temperature, the aging process works as a heat treatment that enhances resistance ability. Due, to this operation other features, may decrease. Before the annealing and heat treating process it is analyzed. It is induced in the aging process to achieve a higher hardening level with a decrease in ductility. It has a higher work hardening rate than standard grades. This grade has also a ferritic and austenitic structure that is ideal for industrial applications. This grade replaces the heavy and bulky options from industrial applications.
