Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT alloy description-
Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT are the chromium, nickel, and iron-based alloy that are having very good strength and very good carburization and oxidation resistance when exposed to high temperature. This alloy is identical except for the greater carbon level in 800h alloy and. Addition of 1.20% aluminum and titanium in the 800HT alloy. Incoloy 800 alloy is the first three alloys that into Incoloy 800H was modified. The modification was done just to control carbon and also grain sized for optimizing the stress rupture property.
Incoloy 800HT has further modified for combining aluminum and titanium alloy levels for ensuring the high-temperature properties. This alloy is dually certified and is combining the properties of both the forms. Incoloy 800H/HT for the greater temperature industrial application was intended. Also, this alloy effectively resists stress corrosion cracking and embrittlement from the sigma phase precipitation. In an annealed condition general corrosion resistance is excellent. Also, this alloy is having very good stress and creep rupture properties.
