Intr, Stainless Steel 347 / 347H Condensate Pots:
These pots are used to catch and hold condensate. These keep the manifold orifice clean and free of foreign materials. They are situated upstream of the instruments and have a bottom drain so that they may be cleaned. These condensate pots are available in a variety of grades. The vertical and horizontal installation process can be applied between primary and secondary components that act as a barrier to the line fluid, allowing direct sensing of flow conditions. The condensate pot units are mounted at the same level, decreasing the possibility of error due to the unequal head of fluid in the connecting pressure lines. These also permit a liquid seal between the instrument and flowing gases like steam.
Stainless steel 347/ 347H grade is balanced chromium steel containing columbium with an austenitic structure, considering the end of carbide precipitation and intergranular attacks. The increased composition of tantalum and chromium balances out this grade. This offers greater creep and stress rupture properties than its standard grade. This grade can be used for exposure where sensitization is a concern. The high columbium allows for outstanding resistance, better than any other grade. Alloy 347H, the higher carbon version, shows improved creep and higher temperature properties.
