What is SS 347/ 347H alloy?
Alloy 347 is the stabilized austenitic chromium alloy that is having columbium that is providing carbide precipitation eliminations and intergranular corrosion as well. This alloy is very well stabilized by the addition of alloying elements like tantalum and chromium and is providing stress rupture and creep rupturing properties. Also, this alloy is used for the exposure where intergranular corrosion and sensitization is of great concern.
However, columbium alloy addition allows this alloy to offer very good corrosion resistance ability. 347H alloy is having high carbon content and is demonstrating well-improved creep resistance and high-temperature properties.
