SS 347 grade is elaborated to meet international standards. Due to the stabilization with niobium, this alloy gets excellent corrosion resistance in the higher temperatures. When exposed to higher temperatures ranging from the 450 deg C to 900 deg C, this grade tends to form chromium carbide precipitate. In the grain boundary affected zone, this alloy is susceptible to intergranular attacks. In addition to niobium inhibits of the formation of chromium carbide and constantly increase the corrosion resistance. This manifold valve posses great weldability and characteristics common to austenitic as well as mechanical attributes that guarantee good ductility and recommended for the cold forming process. The application of grade is generally intended for corrosive environments in the higher temperatures, currently, it is being used in the most severe and critical applications.

How manifold valves are manufactured from 347/347H grade?
It is processed from a hot forming process in a temperature range of 1150 deg C to 750 deg C. It has a lower thermal conductivity that holds temperature of more than 50%. While performing the action of hot forming material should be cleaned to avoid contamination. In order to do that neutral or slightly oxidizing temperature is required. This alloy can be cold formed without any difficulty. The cold hardening act of grade shows its strength for powerful equipment. It is also processed form the pickling process. Alloy 347 can be welded without hot cracking using appropriate filler materials. The welding process is done with and without filler materials.
